Therefore I resolve to continue updating my site, and hopefully everyday from here on out, I would do it at work but my piece of shite Mac from 1830 dooesn't work and despite what those stupid god-damned Mac anti-PC commercials they are the most counter-intuitive machines on the face of the earth - there's a reason that Mac make up Less Than 2 % of computers. Argh.

Ok, I haven't been updating very much, it's not because I don't want to: I just don't have the energy right now. It's amazing, I am more tired coming home from a day in the office (which is just sitting at a desk writing news stories most of the day) in San Francisco then last summer when I worked six hours a day with energy-draining kids. I come home and most of the time have a hard time staying awake through dinner, let alone to type out and update the site - granted that Blogger has made my e-life so much easier.

Uh yeah, I'm a big dork who hasn't been blogging enough, I must dash for now, but I promise more to come.

The first day is almost over, and everything seems pretty good so far, I feel slightly akward in the environment, but the weirdness is fading. I'm sure it will be all good in a few days. I started work on my first story, it seems pretty easy, and I'm looking foward to getting into some of the meatier stuff. More later. Also- These people are compulsive about lunches.

So here I am, tonight and tomorrow night left until I go home and finish (sorta finish considering I have incompletes in every class because of the mono) my first year of college. Looking back, it was everything I expected and not what I expected at all; before I left all I heard was "these are the best years" and "you'll grow so much" and I pretty much considered this a huge load of horse shit. One year later, I can't even remember my life of high school, I still have friends from HS (who I am itching to see!). Also, there's a great coke commercial for the new Vanilla Coke (Which is really, really good).

Everyone is leaving the dorm, my room is barren - stripped of all but the essentials - life looks bleak right now. I'm sad and I don't really want to be, it's incredible that I'm already done with a year of college; where did the time go? I know Dahvi is right when she says that I will only be upset until I go home and everything starts up like it was before I went to college, but I'm still gonna miss the people and the camaraderie.

Finding an apartment has been a lesson in organized chaos but now the problems have been sorting themselves out: I am now living in a beautiful three bedroom with my own washer and dryer in the apt. The weather has been nice, therefore, I feel pretty damn good about my life. However, I'm packing up stuff from my dorm room to either stay here in Oregon or make the trip South for the summer with me and this makes me sad.
Also I have decided that a guestbook is in order so that I can actually find out how is coming to my site, since I don't know anyone who checks it daily. The dot-tk domain tells me that I had 55 visitors a few days ago, and ten were from the Netherlands! Who do I know in Holland?! This puzzles me, I did not know that the going-on of a 19 year old college student halfway around the world could interest not just one but ten different viewers from the Netherlands. If you are reading this - and I don't have the guestbook up - drop me an email and tell me where you're from ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE FROM THE NETHERLANDS! The address is on the contact page. Fhew! Enough for now. Toast!

So I'm bored and sick of college, not to mention pissed off because despite my epic three week struggle in futility I have not pushed my grades up to where they once were. Let me say this much: mono sucks, you don't want it. Anyone who is in college, or anyone going to college heed this warning - DO NOT DRINK FROM OTHER PEOPLE's DRINKS! Mono is bad, you feel crappy, sleep all the time, miss class. These are all bad things. Enough for now.
